Abstinence: The ONLY way

You must be wondering what in the world I am talking about. Well, I'm talking about the 'taboo' topic, sex.

According to my Catholic faith, only ONE type of sex is acceptable. Sex after marriage. Pre-marital sex is a BIG no-no.

Of late, we have been reading and hearing about soaring no. of divorce cases, abortion cases and 'giving birth outside marriage' cases. Sadly, this is because of a combination of two devastating factors; pre-marital sex + 'safe' sex eg. condoms etc.

In reality, sex means so much more than just something you do to gain satisfaction. Sex is actually a beautiful concept created by God to further solidify and enhance the relationship between husband and wife. Sex gives the opportunity to both husband and wife to express their love for one another. Sex in reality is worlds apart to the 'sex' portrayed by the media as nothing more than a mere commodity.

Next, there is NO such thing as 'safe' sex. The risks of unwanted pregnancies still exist. Thus, the BEST and ONLY way is abstinence. Furthermore, sex is supposed to be COMPLETE giving and receiving among husband and wife. 'Safe' sex creates a 'barrier' between husband and wife psychologically as it implies lack of commitment and trust.

In conclusion, save sex until you are married to your spouse whom you will live the rest of your life with as the saying goes, 'save the best for last'.
